Site Registration

Use this page to create a new account for the site.
  • An account is required on the site to view our tissue stock or submit a tissue request.
  • This is because we must demonstrate our productivity to granting agencies that fund us by documenting activity on our website.
  • We also use this process to determine, for ethical reasons, that a tissue requestor is qualified to conduct studies on our tissue.
  • Fill out all of the required fields on this page (shown with a *) and press submit to create a new account.
  • You should receive an email letting you know that your account will be reviewed within the next 10 days. Please be sure to click the button in the email, as this is used to confirm your email address.

Profile

This page can be accessed by clicking the section underneath your name on the navigation bar at the top of the site. It is used to update your information, view the requests you have submitted, download documents, or reset your password

Profile Information

Fill out the information in each of these tabs in order to have information pre-prepared for when you submit a tissue request. This is helpful, as it allows you to submit a request quickly and reuse anything you have already entered on multiple requests
  • Info – Information directly related to you and your account
  • PI – Often a tissue request is submitted by a junior-level scientist or technician that is working for or with another scientist who is the actual principal investigator. If the junior person’s credentials are not yet sufficient to qualify them as a tissue requester, we may yet allow this if the principal investigator has sufficient credentials. Also, the principal investigator’s grants may be assisted with the tissue studies and this is important documentation of our productivity
  • Grants – These are primarily to show our funding agencies such as the National Institutes of Health that we have been supporting projects that are receiving funding from the same agency. This is important for documentation of our productivity
  • Legal – This is required in order for our legal personnel to work out a Materials Transfer Agreement with your legal personnel
  • Recipients – The person to whom the shipment is addressed to
